RWT55: workhorse
The most popular system for Batumi. Thermal gap up to 24 mm, double glazing up to 36 mm - this is enough for a heated apartment: warm in winter, not hot in summer with I-glass. The 55 mm frame does not “eat up” the light opening, the design is lightweight (window 1400x1400 - only ~15 kg of profile).
Take RWT55 if: apartment/office/hotel, standard windows, price is important without heat loss. This is 8 out of 10 of our orders.
RWT64: when you need silence and large packets
Premium swivel system. The depth of 64.2 mm accommodates double-glazed windows up to 44 mm - double-chamber with two I-glasses. For apartments on the embankment (beach bars, waves, roadways), the difference in silence is noticeable: +6-8 dB in sound insulation versus a 24 mm package.
Fun fact from the catalog: RWT64 frame (AT64F01, 1,319 kg/m) easier frames RWT55 (1.48 kg/m) - the profile is deeper, but the walls are thinner in the load-bearing parts, and the rigidity is maintained by the geometry. Therefore, the price per m² is only ~10% higher, and not 20-30% as with most “premium” systems.
Take RWT64 if: noisy side (embankment, center), large portal windows with sashes, are planning a two-chamber package of 44 mm.
RST116: terrace lift&slide
A completely different class: a lift-and-slide system. A sash up to 300 kg and up to 3 m wide rises on rollers when you turn the handle and slides - a panorama without sashes when open, the threshold is almost flat.
The AT116F05 frame weighs 2.525 kg/m - the structure is massive, but it holds a 44 mm glass unit and the wind from the sea without blowing. This is a system for terraces of restaurants, penthouses and apartments with access to a balcony-terrace.
Take RST116 if: terrace, panoramic glazing, you need doors 2-3 m wide, which can actually be moved with one hand.
Is it possible to mix systems in one house?
Yes, and this is standard practice: windows in rooms - RWT55, balcony portal to the terrace - RST116, noisy bedroom - RWT64. All three systems are from the same factory: the same RAL color scheme, the same paint texture, compatible thresholds and connections. Visually the house looks solid.
Frequently asked questions
How is RWT64 really better than RWT55 if the package is the same 24 mm?
Wider thermal bridge (34 versus 24 mm) - warmer profile; Deeper chamber means less ventilation of the fitting groove. But the main difference is revealed precisely on thick packages of 32-44 mm, which physically will not fit in the RWT55.
Why is RST116 more expensive if it is “just doors”?
Mechanics: roller carriages, guides, reinforced frames (2.5 kg/m versus 1.5), massive threshold-rail. Plus, installation is more difficult - you need a flat floor and precise installation of the guide.
Is ASAS normal in quality? Aren't they better than the Germans?
ASAŞ is one of the largest factories in the region with a full cycle: from profile pressing to painting. The geometry and quality of the coatings are at the level of good European systems. For Georgia, logistics decide: a warehouse nearby, spare parts and additional profiles - in days, not weeks. The difference with the “Germans” is in the brand and price, which is 40-60% higher.
